VPS Hosting Boosts Celtic Festival Ticketing

Hi folks, we ordered a VPS from you earlier this year to host the
hebceltfest.com website for this years Hebridean Celtic Festival. The festival has just finished last week and the ticketing which all goes through the system we built for the festival and host on your server was, in the words of the festival director "A1" and worked smoothly even during the busiest ordering times.

We had performed lots of tests before the run up to the festival itself, but then we did that last year when the server was with another VPS host and everything was fine until the ordering got really busy and then the whole system more or less shut down.

So, I'd like to thank you for providing excellent value and very reliable hosting. We will be bringing you many more customers over the coming year...

Interxion Expands London City Datacentre

Interxion, a leading European provider of network-neutral data centre services, has expanded the capacity of its London City data centre to meet growing customer demand, adding 1,250 m² of premium equipped data centre space. The new space, which is ready for service, provides some of the highest power density infrastructure available in the City of London. A portion of the space has already been signed for and, given the strong demand Interxion will continue to look for further expansion opportunities.

The expansion follows the modular data centre build-out strategy pioneered by Interxion. The new space can provide 2kW per sqm with N+1 redundancy and free air-cooling as standard, as well as the most advanced alarm and monitoring systems. More advanced requirements such as 2N redundancy configurations and high power density requirements of up to 20kW per cabinet can be set up as required.

“Our new data centre space is designed to meet and exceed fast-growing customer needs in the City,” said Greg McCulloch, Managing Director of Interxion UK. “Customers who use this facility will enjoy the central location and the highest levels of security, redundancy, and connectivity as standard. We are the only data centre in the City with space available and 13 megawatts of power on tap, so we can also accommodate any additional needs including high power density configurations.”

The UK expansion is the latest step in Interxion’s € 90 million footprint expansion plans, which are delivering 13,000m² of equipped space across Europe in 2008. New data centre space is also being built and provisioned in Frankfurt, Madrid, Paris, Copenhagen, Vienna and Brussels.

“London is one of the powerhouses of European data demand, and there are very few service providers who can claim to have such a strategic location combined with such advanced infrastructure,” said Dick Theunissen, Interxion’s Chief Marketing Officer. “In London, as across Europe, our aim is to continue to explore expansion opportunities to meet the growing need for space, at the same time as continuously raising the bar of energy-efficiency.”
