Linux System Administrator/Engineer

What we are looking for:
We are recruiting for a Linux System Administrator/ Engineer.
The candidate must be passionate about Linux and be able to demonstrate their skills. Experience with hosted or cloud services are preferred.
Skills requirement:
Experience/Skills required:
- Minimum 2 years Linux/Open Source experience
- Previous scripting experience in either Ruby, Perl or Python
- Database management and maintenance in either MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience with virtualisation in either Xen or KVM
- Experience with running and managing web facing applications (Apache, Nginx etc)
- Experience with Operation Intelligence software (Splunk) would be a plus, but is not an absolute requirement
Job role with varied responsibilities:
- Physical deployment of servers, network equipment and firewalls in datacentre racks
- Linux and Windows operating system and application management
- System administration
- Research and documentation
- Scripting

Other
This role is based in our central London office near Liverpool Street station.
40 hours per week. Office hours. In addition the job holder will be on-call for out of hours cover on a rota-basis.
You must be able to speak English fluently as this position requires communication with business customers in the UK.
