We just joined Webperf.net a web performance testing service and went straight to number 4 for network speed performance ranked against 150 other UK ISPs. Our test box is in Interxion central London, the same site housing all our London hosting customers.
This performance is possible due to our 2 x 1Gbps direct fiber connections to LINX in the building, our central London location, the quality of our upstream London networks - Level(3), Abovenet and Tinet and the fact that we run an uncontended network with plenty of free capacity available at all times.
Looking at it another way - we aim to meet the needs of the most demanding customers - and we care a great deal about network throughput speeds and latency. We run our own network which means we have full control over quality and routing decisions.
